A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Brown learned the principles of service and compassion early in life from his mother and family members. These early influences shaped his lifelong commitment to helping others and advocating for those who often go unheard.

After completing his primary and secondary education in the Duval County Public School system, Dr. Brown attended Edward Waters College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. He later pursued his calling to ministry at the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, earning a Master of Divinity degree. Continuing his theological education, Dr. Brown earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.

In 1997, Dr. Brown answered God’s call to ministry and preached his first sermon at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, under the leadership of Dr. John E. Guns.

Throughout his ministry journey, Dr. Brown has served in numerous leadership and outreach roles. One of his early initiatives included leading a weekly youth mentoring group called “Keeping It Real,” which addressed real-life challenges facing teenagers and helped guide them toward positive life choices.

Dr. Brown also founded Ministry in Action, Inc. (MIA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community outreach organization. The organization was created to address violent crime, youth challenges, and social issues in Liberty City, Miami, one of the city’s most underserved communities.

Today, Dr. Brown serves as Pastor of Greater Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Florida, where he continues to lead with vision, compassion, and faith. In addition to his pastoral leadership, Dr. Brown works as a Hospice Chaplain, offering spiritual support and comfort to patients and families during life’s most sensitive moments.

Dr. Brown has a deep passion for helping disadvantaged communities and dreams of establishing 24/7 social service centers that provide free resources such as healthcare screenings and community support services to those in need.
